BookLover42 –
I picked up Havana Blues expecting a typical historical fiction, but this book surprised me. The author’s vivid descriptions of 1930s Havana transport you there – I could almost smell the cigar smoke and hear the jazz clubs. While the binding feels sturdy and the pages are high quality, the price point seems steep for a paperback. Still, if you’re into immersive historical fiction, this delivers. Isaiah Hartenstein would probably enjoy the complex character development.
